New York SailGP cancelled

Due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the devastating COVID-19 pandemic, SailGP has suspended its 2020 season through the end of June. As a result, New York SailGP will not take place on June 12-13 as scheduled, and ticket purchasers will be automatically refunded in full by the end of June.

Next Stop Cowes:

Record-breaking SailGP returns to Cowes, Isle of Wight, on August 14-15 for the first European event of Season 2

The past and future of the sport come together once again when the world’s fastest sail race boats launch on the Solent during Cowes Week, the oldest sailing regatta across the globe.

The European debut of SailGP was defined by some of the most dramatic moments of Season 1, as Tom Slingsby and the Australia SailGP Team eclipsed the 50-knot speed barrier en route to winning the Cowes event title. Fans also witnessed the Unites States team capsize just meters from the shore and a heart-stopping nosedive from the British team, ending its chance of victory at the home event.

More than 24,000 spectators turned out to witness Cowes SailGP in the first year, but Season 2 promises to deliver another incredible show in August 2020 that will include a ticketed spectator area at Egypt Point, as well as expanded hospitality opportunities.
