With just days remaining, anticipation is building for the 25th edition of the Aegean Regatta, one of Greece's most cherished offshore sailing traditions, running from 22 to 28 August 2026.
Organised by the General Secretariat of the Aegean and Island Policy in cooperation with the Offshore Sailing Committee of the Hellenic Sailing Federation, this year's route will once again showcase the raw beauty of the Eastern Aegean. Crews will depart from Limnia, on the north-west coast of Chios, before island-hopping through Fournoi and Agathonisi, and finally arriving in Marathokampos, Samos, to close out the milestone anniversary edition.
Far more than a race, the Aegean Regatta has, since its inception in 2001, grown into a celebration of sport, culture, and discovery — bringing sailors face-to-face with island communities, traditions, and landscapes rarely seen from the water.
As the fleet prepares to set sail, ICARUS Sports will be on the ground and offshore, delivering comprehensive media coverage of the event to its global network of broadcast partners, ensuring international audiences don't miss a moment of the action across all four legs of the route.
With 25 years of history behind it, the countdown is officially on for what promises to be a landmark edition of one of Greece's great maritime traditions.
