Comments from Stu Bannatyne who explains the way the team adapted to racing the last two days and nights without wind instruments. "This is probably the sweetest Atlantic crossing I've done - downwind all the way."
Christian Zugel: "You're on the wheel surrounded by amazing sailors and you look around and all you see is ocean; you realise how big the Atlantic is. On top of that you are trying to perfect the heel angle and the apparent wind angle; it's an experience that's hard to put into words. I can only say a big compliment to our team; they are phenomenal sailors."
Campbell Field: "The guys worked incredibly hard. We did 47 gybes in 8 days...The off watch hardly had an off watch!"
Neal Macdonald: "There are people on this boat that I have raced around the world with, and that bond is unbreakable, it will last forever. The Tschuss team get off the boat together with some memories that we will use in future races.”
Victoria win the Yacht Club de France Trophy: Yacht Club de France member, Hubert Wargny’s Swan 78 Victoria (FRA), co-skippered by Christophe Fresson, completed the 2025 RORC Transatlantic Race on January 28th in an elapsed time of 15 Days 11 Hrs 55 Mins and 54 Secs.
