GBR IRC National Championships  -  25-27 May 2024  -  Hosted by International Paint Poole Regatta

Teams from the UK, France, Netherlands and Hong Kong will be in action in Poole Bay and Harbour. On-line entry for the Championship closes this Sunday 19th May.

Andrew Pearce, Regatta President said, “The organising committee of volunteers from the combined yacht clubs of Poole work tirelessly to create a fantastic weekend of yacht racing and competitor socials. It’s great to see that the regatta’s reputation has spread far and wide across Europe.  With just two weeks until the first start, all the planning is coming together to create one of the finest Poole Regatta’s to date.  The decision of RORC to host the 2024 GBR IRC National Championship at Poole is an honour and to have the RAF memorial flight picking the event for a flypast is the icing on the cake.”

Entries for the 2024 GBR IRC Nationals include three former overall winners. Adam Gosling’s JPK 1080 Yes!, Niklas Zennstrom’s Carkeek 41 Rán VII, and John Howell & Paul Newell’s A35 Arcus. Notable big boat entries include Karl Kwok’s TP52 Beau Geste from Honk Kong and Peter Morton’s TP52 Notorious from Cowes, I.OW.

Off the water, the regatta includes many social events for crews to get together, creating a real community feel to the weekend.  From the competitor’s reception at Poole Quay Yacht Haven on Friday night, Poole Yacht Club’s party with live music on Saturday and Parkstone Yacht Club’s on Sunday, through to the prize giving at Parkstone on bank holiday Monday, the regatta will provide many opportunities to mix with like-minded yacht racers.
